About the Role

We’re looking for a Creative Director, Growth to play a key role on our agile, cross-functional team. You’ll partner closely with Growth Marketing, Product, Client Success, Data Science, and User Research to craft compelling designs across the entire B2C journey.

Your work will span high-level campaign concepts to hands-on execution across a wide range of channels—digital advertising, landing pages, email, social, marketing collateral, direct mail, video, and out-of-home. The goal: increase member awareness, build a world-class brand, and elevate the user experience.

We’re looking for someone with deep B2C expertise, strong digital and offline design/messaging skills, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. You’re both a player and a coach—able to think strategically and see the big picture, while also providing creative direction and rolling up your sleeves to execute across diverse channels and touch points.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Elevate and unify the Hinge Health brand across all B2C channels—through design, messaging, experimentation, and insights—positioning us as a top-tier brand and market leader.
  • Drive concepting and creative innovation across new and existing channels, solving user problems and demonstrating product value through thoughtful design systems.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing, Product, Client Success, User Research, and Data Science teams to integrate customer feedback, validate hypotheses, and refine creative decisions informed by data, insights and learnings.
  • Define the look, tone, and feel for all marketing touchpoints in the member journey—from awareness through acquisition and conversion—guiding the team from early mocks through specs and implementation.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team by building processes that empower designers and writers to problem-solve, execute efficiently, and deliver high-quality creative.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellence in brand expression and integrated campaign development across omni-channel marketing touchpoints, spanning digitala and physical experiences.
  • Proven ability to leverage insights, data, experimentation to inform creative solutions and measure performance.
  • A design process that balances exploration, template creation, optimization, and implementation—producing work that expresses the brand while keeping user experience and empathy at the center.
  • Exceptional attention to detail across all aspects of design, typography, color, imagery, iconography, and layout within design systems, including video editing/motion design.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate stakeholder feedback into optimized design, messaging, and marketing assets.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco office, requiring in-person attendance three days per week for a full 8-hour business day. On remote days, employees are expected to work during core business hours with flexibility. The office is part of a dog-friendly workplace program, and while travel is not regularly required, occasional off-site/on-site events may occur. Physical demands are minimal and primarily involve standard office activities such as sitting, typing, and video conferencing.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a creative leadership role.
  • 2+ years in tech or start-up environments.
  • 4+ years of experience managing and mentoring creative teams.
  • Experience leading agile design sprints, effectively prioritizing workflows, and leveraging collaboration tools like Google Suite, Asana, and Slack.
  • Mastery of digital design tools such as Figma and Adobe CC, plus experience directing data visualization, interactive content, video, and motion design.
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of leveraging AI-powered creative tools and automation platforms to streamline workflows, enhance content production efficiency, and support high-quality output.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage projects/processes independently with limited supervision.
  • PHR or SHRM certification.

This position offers an annual salary, along with equity and benefits. Please note that the salary range is a guideline, and the individual total compensation will vary based on factors, including qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $200,000-$300,000.
