We are seeking an experienced, curious and strategic Team Lead Internal Communications (m/f/d) with a digital mindset to drive and own global internal communication.

In this exciting, global role you will be responsible for the strategic development, oversight and delivery of our internal communications across all channels. Being the eyes, ears and voice of the company, you will help to connect employees with the right information, ensuring that we’re in the best position to excite and inspire our corporate employees to drive sustainable and affordable travel for everyone. This role is based in Munich and reports to the Senior Director Communications & ESG.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

  • Develop and steer the Internal Communication Strategy to inform and inspire corporate employees around the company’s vision, business strategy, cultural values, projects & initiatives, and other priorities
  • Work in close partnership with Executives and Business Leaders to communicate our business strategy to various internal audience groups, manage leadership communication and broader all company communication with our C-Suite and respective leaders
  • Continually shape and create innovative and integrated communications plans, that will excite, inform and inspire our people. Deliver high quality content and messaging across the entire business
  • Operate Key Communication Channels: Ensuring company-wide communications are consistent in clarity and tone. Work with stakeholders on the correct approach, including Digital Push, Digital Choice, and real-time communications. Pioneer new communications approaches, mediums, and channels for a hybrid workforce
  • Manage the internal comms calendar across different formats and across all channels (intranet, townhalls, email, company events, Senior Leadership meetings and internal social media) in a diverse, complex, and international set up. Work with the C-Suite, colleagues from the People Team, PR, ESG, and key stakeholders from departments across the organization to steer the agenda
  • Serve as a trusted internal communications partner and strategic advisor for Executives and business leaders to define and manage communications for initiatives, change management and other priorities and work with them to develop and cascade communications solutions to appropriate internal audiences along your communication plan
  • Use people insight and business knowledge to support informed decision-making and provide communications advice and solutions to our Executive team and routinely measure and report out to stakeholders regarding the impact of internal communications

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

  • Desired minimum 6 years of experience in Internal Communications within a multi-national company with audiences in different countries and dispersed locations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility, and experience in the field of technology or scale-up high growth environments as well being able to quickly react and respond with grace under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management and ability to work with all levels of employees, including senior leaders and C-Suite
  • A great teammate who can lead by example and be both strategic and hands-on with strong project management skills
  • Experience developing and managing an editorial calendar with engaging content across a variety of channels, formats, and long/short term planning including proactive content sourcing with stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Excellent writing and oral skills in English are a must, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative; strong ability in German is a plus
