We're looking for a motivated and driven Head of Operations in Mexico (f/m/d), who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success. For the upcoming years, we expect further growth in Latin America which is why we want to expand our strong, dynamic, and ambitious team in Mexico.

This position will be based in Mexico City and starts as soon as possible. As Head of Operations for such a large market you will lead a team, that will be accountable of providing a World Class service for customers and partners.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

  • You develop and motivate a strong and steadily growing team that is to ramp up our operations for FlixBus in Mexico
  • You build an Operations hub from the ground up to achieve operation and customer excellence, with the support from our HQ in Germany
  • You develop long-lasting relationships with our bus partners
  • You are responsible for our Operations KPIs and implement processes that deliver on our targets
  • You are responsible for onboarding new bus partners and launching new lines
  • You are responsible for the running operations and manage quality standards
  • You identify risks that can disrupt our operations and find solutions to them
  • You work closely with the rest of the team in analysing our data and processes. We will constantly be challenging the status quo and strive to improve
  • Be a driving force in the launch of FlixBus in Mexico, shaping the future of transportation with innovation and enthusiasm

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Degree, or equivalent, in transportation, business administration, economics or a related field
  • A proven track record of strong results in a similar role in the transport and/or bus industry is a strong plus
  • Capacity to design and implement policies and processes. Process oriented person
  • Proven track record on project management and running operations for a global player is a strong plus
  • Staff planning, coordination and leadership experience is considered is strong plus
  • Accuracy and punctuality in carrying out tasks
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects with strict deadlines
  • Strong drive, self-motivated, accountable and entrepreneurial
  • Ability to make decisions and act autonomously while escalating when necessary
  • You have the skills to adequately deal with different stakeholders (e.g. business partners, bus drivers, station managers, or regional authorities) with high social and negotiation skills
  • Readiness for travelling when needed
