The Role
The Product team builds Cognite Data Fusion, a scalable platform that helps asset-intensive industries like Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utility turn complex industrial data into safer, more sustainable, and more profitable decisions. We use technologies such as knowledge graphs to describe industrial installations and provide tools that make data accessible and actionable at scale. Our autonomous teams of engineers, designers, and product managers work closely together to deliver products that users value and enjoy, while fostering a dynamic, collaborative environment where diverse expertise, innovation, and strong culture drive the next generation of industrial data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies and own and solve problems end-to-end
- Collaborate in a fast-paced environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Design solutions for users that help them get their jobs done, turning complex industrial knowledge into understandable visuals and questions into graph queries
- Design and implement elegant user experiences
- Be actively involved in setting product and technical direction and decision making
- Work closely with our skilled users to understand their needs and build products to help them succeed
What We Are Looking For
- Experience as a lead developer on projects with architecting frontend tiers for complex domains
- You have a solid grasp of JavaScript and enjoy the benefits of TypeScript
- You have frontend experience in frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or something similar
- You have experience with cloud development, which may include Kubernetes, Docker or other related technologies, familiarity with Azure, AWS and GCP is a plus
- Ability to learn other coding languages and use the language best fit for purpose
- You can prioritize your tasks and distribute your time and resources most efficiently to optimize for impact
- You write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
- Experience in process industry projects
- Knowledge of GraphQL or graph databases
- Experience building mobile applications
- Experience building backend services with Kotlin, Java or Python
- Demonstrated history (with examples) of presenting at conferences or meetups is a plus
