As a Maintenance & Reliability specialist, you will bring on-the-job experience to our Data Science team, to help the team & other parts of Cognite to support Cognite projects and customers in their data-driven operation and maintenance transformation journey.
The Maintenance Specialist in Global Customer Success will guide and support delivery projects as a Subject Matter Expert. The role requires interacting with the customers, project delivery team and other internal stakeholders to efficiently communicate technical and strategic aspects to ensure quick time to value for our customers, also in line with Cognite strategy.The Maintenance Specialist works closely with Project Managers, Global Customer Success (GCS), Account Executives (AE), TechSales and Product organization and is responsible for ensuring the value of customer delivery projects and the right technical recommendations short and long term.

To be successful in this position, we expect you to leverage your R&M domain expertise combined with Industrial DataOps technology (that will become an expert in) to:

  • Be a trusted advisor for our customers and, prospects and delivery teams, with the ability to drive and guide, define and develop the right solutions / use cases aligned with Maintenance domain and customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout project delivery and beyond
  • Leverage in-depth technical SME knowledge to quickly identify customer's pain points and the value based on the interactions with the customer to guide short and long-term value outtakes
  • Ensure a good feedback cycle to: Translate the customer voice into the project scope and it’s execution and ensure the customer feedback on Cognite’s product and deliverables
  • Demonstrate how Cognite Data Fusion and Cognite Applications can be used to solve the critical challenges that lead to realizable value at scale now and in the future and increased user adoption and Cognite technology stickiness
  • Create a demo story, visualisation and supporting material for customer implementation projects
  • Provide on-site technical support to clients and partners
  • Coach and mentor technical teams, esp. data scientists, in their everyday work to ensure the technical and business value of the deliveries
  • Collaborate with Sales, Tech Sales, Product, and Partners to stay up to date on the latest strategy, capabilities, provide customer feedback and contribute to the development of repeatable and scalable solutions and products agnostic to customer or industry, as far as possible.

We believe most of these should match your experience:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Technical Engineering etc.)
  • A minimum of 5+ years of full-time work experience as a Maintenance / Reliability engineer in Oil and Gas or Manufacturing domains or EPC company
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and related data in Oil and Gas or Manufacturing and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
  • Understand the data challenge and be passionate about making a change with data-driven maintenance and reliability.
  • Be familiar with the maintenance processes, such as CM monitoring, maintenance planning, maintenance execution, reliability analytics and holistic view on the entire E2E maintenance management process.
  • Be familiar with and passionate about the common industry standards and their applicability to the R&M process (e.g., ISO 14224)
  • Be familiar with common industrial CMMS, ERP, PI, engineering systems, CM expert systems, etc.
  • Experience with Python is a plus. Alternatively, willingness to learn Python
  • Excellent presentation and coaching and proactive communication skills
  • Ability to talk to different levels of customer organization: data engineers to C-level executives
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
