Summary:
We are currently seeking a Senior Workflow Consultant to join our Professional Services team in Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto.
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Senior Workflow Consultant with hands-on legal experience to join our team. Someone who brings not only exceptional technical expertise but also a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. As our ideal candidate, you thrive in customer interactions and helping customers achieve their goals. You also have experience working in a law firm or legal department on substantive legal matters, and have exposure to using AI tools to support legal work. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive workflow consulting services to our customers, ensuring seamless integration and utilization across our portfolio of software solutions. You will play a critical role in optimizing customer workflows, increasing efficiency, driving adoption, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of the needs of legal professionals, and practical experience performing legal work in a legal environment, including using AI tools to improve productivity and quality.
What your team does:
Our Professional Services team is dedicated to helping customers fully realize the value of Clio’s product suite. Our team members are smart system thinkers who strengthen long-term adoption by translating complex needs into clear, efficient solutions and guiding customers through meaningful operational change.
What you’ll work on:
Talk to potential professional services customers to position the value of workflow packages and assist with closing opportunities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in Salesforce and other systems.
Become an expert on Clio’s suite of products and the value opportunities it offers to help streamline legal workflows.
Collaborate with customers to assess their current workflows, identify pain points, and recommend workflow enhancements using Clio's legal software suite.
Conduct comprehensive account setup and configuration services, ensuring the software aligns with customer workflows, business processes and best practices.
Assist customers in setting up efficient document generation workflows using a portfolio of Clio’s suite of products.
Leverage prior legal experience to improve workflows related to substantive legal tasks (e.g., legal drafting, legal research, legal strategy, etc.).
Support customers in adopting AI-powered features for legal work while reinforcing best practices and responsible use.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout their implementation and adoption journey while maintaining high-standards of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to workflow packages based on customer needs/feedback and sales performance.
Share insights and customer feedback to become an advocate for customers with internal stakeholders and contribute to product enhancements and improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create visionary workflows that address complex business challenges.
Provide thought leadership and creative solutions for business process optimizations to improve overall operational efficiency.
Design and prototype innovative workflows that can be implemented at scale and align with industry best practices.
What you may have:
5+ years experience in developing and implementing workflow strategies and breaking down complex workflows into simple pieces, ideally within the software or technology industry.
2+ years of legal experience and/or training at a paralegal or higher level.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills, with a track record of identifying customer needs and influencing outcomes through clear presentation and negotiation.
A keen interest in improving your craft by using AI with hands-on experience for drafting, research, summarization, or workflow support.
Genuine empathy, strong interpersonal skills and ability to make customers feel appreciated and valued.
Proactive and self-motivated mindset, constantly thinking outside the box to employ creative solutions where appropriate.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while exercising good independent professional judgment.
Exceptional creative mindset to lead business processes through a visionary and collaborative approach.
Serious bonus points if you have:
A strong understanding of cloud-based legal technologies together with a demonstrated understanding of the legal industry and the needs of legal professionals.
Ability to design and build automation processes using Excel/Google Sheets, Slack workflows, or scripting languages (e.g., SQL).

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
