Summary:
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Candidates have the option to work remotely or in-office or a combination of both. Some attendance to the Burnaby office may be required.

What you’ll do:
Overseeing the financial accounting operations of parent and subsidiary corporations, including transaction-processing operations (including accounts receivable and accounts payable / purchase orders).
Providing oversight, mentorship, development, and management of a team of junior, intermediate, and senior accountants; ensuring they have the requisite skills and opportunities to function as a world-class accounting team.
Designing end-to-end standard operating and detailed review procedures to ensure extremely high quality accounting records are prepared and maintained, while minimizing risks of material misstatements.
Identifying risks of material misstatement in existing processes, including maintaining accounting policies and a Risk and Control Matrix.
Contributing to the preparation or review of critical month-end financial reporting working papers relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Identifying and executing on opportunities to drive efficiency, accuracy, and impact across all aspects of the accounting and financial transacting aspects of the Company;
Liaising with cross-departmental stakeholders in all projects and matters as they relate to finance, accounting, internal control, or cash.
What you may have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (finance, accounting, business)
CPA designation
5+ years of Accounting experience
Experience managing a team of accountants to a deadline
Value operational excellence and doing things right
Be self-motivated, independent, and deadline-oriented
Experience managing a team of direct reports
Clear, concise, articulate, professional verbal and written reasoning and storytelling skills to communicate effectively to audiences at all levels of the organization.
Serious bonus points if you have:
Experience working with Coupa or other modern Purchase Order tools/cycles.
Experience managing a team of A/P or A/R accountants and clerks.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
