Summary:
We are currently seeking a new Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design team on a 12 month contract (mat leave coverage), specifically to work on improving Clio’s roles and permissions capabilities This role is available to candidates across our hubs in Burnaby, Toronto and Calgary and can be performed in a hybrid capacity.

Design plays an integral role at Clio, making up one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization alongside Product Management and Engineering. Product designers directly engage in researching the behaviours and needs of our users. They act as champions of user experience as we work to transform the way lawyers and their staff provide services to their clients. A day in the life might look like:
Lead the vision and experience design of roles and permission management across multiple Clio products
Join a diversely skilled design team using modern design tools
Work as part of a triad alongside product management and engineering
Advocate for our customers by knowing them and their needs inside out
Concept, prototype, design and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes
Coach and mentor designers on a range of design practices
Create sketches, flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups of features serving different user segments
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and analysis
Use and leverage metrics to drive product design and measure product success
What you bring:
Excellent communication skills
Experience as an interactive designer with product experience. SaaS experience is a bonus
A portfolio showing UX problem solving and great visual designs
Experience with modern design tools (Figma) and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed
Strong understanding of web technologies
A design degree or relevant experience with platform and/or application design
Humility plus strong opinions that are loosely held

The expected salary range* for similar roles within Clio is: $121,500 to $179,800 CAD

*Please note that the expected new hire salary range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Clio. Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time.
