The Role

The Associate Product Owner position is designed for candidates in the early stages of their career, specifically those with one to three years of professional experience. In this role, you will engage in a variety of activities, including the creation of user stories, collaborating with cross-functional teams, assisting in the prioritization of product features based on customer feedback, and translating business requirements into actionable system requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with business requirements, possesses strong communication skills, and demonstrates a keen interest in product development. Rather than emphasizing a strict list of required experience, this position focuses on active involvement with both business and analytical tasks to guide the creation of top-tier products.

Primary Objective
The main goal of the Product Owner is to manage the product lifecycle in a way that drives high product adoption and growth, ensures customer satisfaction, and aligns with the value and budget established by product owners, product managers, and sales teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and convert them into system requirements to support the development of customer-facing products.
  • Provide direction to the development team regarding what features to build and inform internal stakeholders about the product’s success criteria.
  • Collaborate with others, build consensus, and act as a customer advocate to guide the organization toward successful product implementations.
  • Utilize lean product management techniques, scrum methodologies, and the latest software and technology to deliver key products.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in systems analysis and/or business analysis.
  • Understanding of technological trends in the industry and the ability to use this knowledge to develop innovative solutions that enhance CCC’s competitive advantage.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including documentation, presentations, and flowchart creation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business partners, internal audiences, technical analysts, developers, and other cross-functional staff.
  • Experience in authoring and managing business requirements, use case documentation, workflow diagramming, data dictionary creation, and basic project planning and management.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience working with databases, including expertise in generating reports using SQL and providing meaningful metrics.

Beneficial Knowledge

  • Understanding of the system development life cycle.
  • Experience with database environments.
  • Familiarity with existing and emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of tools for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Awareness of continuous integration and test-driven development practices.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology and Agile software
