The Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Engineer Leader to lead our high-performing team of Sales Engineers supporting the Growth Products organization. This role will be responsible for aligning technical expertise with our go-to-market strategy, driving pre-sales excellence, enabling customer success, and scaling technical solutions that accelerate product adoption and revenue growth.The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical acumen, customer-centricity, and leadership capability to mentor a team and partner closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Build Sales Engineering Capability
- Lead, develop and scale a team of Sales Engineers aligned to our Growth Products portfolio that are client-facing experts for individual products, providing deep technical knowledge and guidance tailored to each solution.
- Partner with the GVP, Growth Products and Sales Leadership to define pre-sales strategies and technical narratives that drive pipeline and conversion.
- Drive team excellence through coaching, onboarding, and best practices around storytelling, technical discovery, and consultative selling.
- Support the development of scalable tools, templates, and processes that increase efficiency and effectiveness across the pre-sales motion.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to create compelling technical collateral and sales enablement materials.
Collaborate Across the Organization
- Oversee solution design, demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical enablement activities.
- Act as a technical thought leader, helping refine our product roadmap through customer insights and field feedback.
- Provide technical education to the product sales and client-facing sales teams to enable overall improved technical competency
- Ensure a smooth handoff from pre-sales to implementation, maintaining a focus on delivering value realization.
Drive Sales Engineering Commercial Excellence
- Engage with clients, especially technical clients, on the various requirements of products and services
- Inform selling materials, contracts, and implementation plans based on customer requirements and context
- Lead and participate in select pilot programs with prospective clients, collaborating with technical teams to demonstrate product value and feasibility.
- Work directly with potential customers to understand and document configuration requirements, integration needs, and technical constraints.
- Author and deliver technical sales materials and presentations specifically targeted to qualified leads, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Support the transition from sales to implementation, facilitating knowledge transfer and ensuring customer expectations are met.
- Actively collect customer feedback and relay insights to the product team; participate in ongoing product training to maintain up-to-date expertise.
 
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in sales engineering, solution consulting, or a similar technical pre-sales role.
- 3+ years in a leadership or people management role, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- Strong understanding of how to articulate and deliver technical value to executive and technical buyers.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional collaboration between Product, Sales, and Customer teams.
- Ability to inspire and develop talent while building a culture of accountability and customer focus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both technical and business-focused.
- Experience in data analysis and Tableau proficiency required
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference for degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Experience working in high-growth product lines or emerging markets.
