Key Responsibilities:

The data science intern would work on the following tasks:

Developing state-of-the-art models that enhance the claim processing for auto insurance line of business: This includes various tasks ranging from experiment design for feasibility study of the product, data exploration and feature engineering to identification of the right model architecture and executing the training cycle in the cloud environment. Maintenance and diagnosis of data science products, involving implementation of drift detection methodologies as well as various ways to add interpretability to the existing models. Creating benchmark statistics for the insurance industry using our in-house data and statistical methodologies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have a strong quantitative background (graduate degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, stat) and has excellent programming skill with Python. Familiarity with data science tools like pytorch, tensorflow, scikitlearn and pandas would be a big plus.
