About the Team: The Human Resources team at ByteDance is a strategic partner to the business, dedicated to enabling our global organization's growth and success. As a Senior HR Lead, you will serve as a strategic business partner to executive and business leadership, designing and executing people strategies that align with organizational growth, operational efficiency, and long-term business objectives. You will lead critical HR initiatives including organizational design, talent development, succession planning, performance management, diversity & inclusion, and employee engagement, while mentoring a team of HR business partners to drive scalable, consistent, and high-impact people practices across the business. Responsibilities: - Translate business agendas and objectives into a strategic HR roadmap, with supporting initiatives and action plans while garnering support/ownership for that roadmap within the organization. - Provide trusted coaching and advisory support to business leaders on critical people topics, including talent assessment, leadership development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, team dynamics, and building and sustaining high-performance teams. - Design, implement, and track HR dashboards, KPIs, and people analytics to measure organizational health, retention, productivity, and program effectiveness. Translate data into actionable insights to inform leadership decisions, accelerate change, and support scalable growth. - Lead the design and execution of organizational restructures, workforce planning, and headcount strategy. Identify critical roles, talent gaps, and succession risks, and develop targeted plans to ensure leadership continuity and workforce readiness. - Own end-to-end performance management frameworks, including goal-setting, 360° feedback, formal reviews, calibration processes, and continuous performance improvement. Provide coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback to strengthen people management capabilities across the organization. - Mentor, develop, and guide HRBP team members on best practices in talent management, employee relations, and business-aligned HR delivery. Build team capability to effectively support business units and drive consistent people operations. - Champion and advance DEI strategy and initiatives company-wide. Develop and execute actionable DEI plans, advise leaders on inclusive hiring, development, retention, and promotion practices, and foster an equitable and inclusive workplace culture. - Facilitate strong communication, alignment, and employee engagement across functions, regions, and leadership levels. Partner with leaders to enhance organizational connectivity, culture, and employee experience. - Leverage the COEs (HR Centers of Excellence) to design, launch, and scale evidence-based programs that strengthen employee engagement, retention, DEI, and organizational success.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. - 5+ years in an HRBP Lead or senior HR leadership role within a global, high-growth company. - Deep experience operating in a technology or internet industry environment, with strong understanding of tech business models, scaling challenges, and talent dynamics. - Demonstrated experience leading HR transformation, change management, core values implementation, and end-to-end program/project management. - Strong data literacy: ability to analyze HR metrics, derive insights, and make data-driven people decisions. - Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all organizational levels. - Track record of supporting global organizations in scaling people operations, teams, and infrastructure during periods of rapid growth. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-development skills with experience leading HRBPs or functional HR teams. - Deep expertise in organizational design, succession planning, performance management, and DEI strategy and execution.
