About the Team PIPO Luxembourg is an entity that sits within the ByteDance group of entities. PIPO Luxembourg will provide regulated payment services to customers residing in Switzerland and the European Economic Area and who require regulated payment services while using the TikTok platform. About the Role PIPO Luxembourg is seeking a detail-driven, resilient and hands-on Finance Controller to own safeguarding monitoring, lead entity-level reporting execution, and review daily bank reconciliation governance. This role sits at the center of our licensed entity structure: you will uphold regulatory expectations on client fund safeguarding, establish reliable financial controls, and ensure timely, accurate finance reporting. You will collaborate with finance leadership, group treasury and reconciliation hubs, and wider risk and compliance cross function team—building the control environment for a growing payment institution. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a startup-style environment within a global platform. You will help shape how safeguarding, financial reporting and reconciliation are run for one of Luxembourg’s most significant payments operations projects. Key Responsibilities Safeguarding Governance & Monitoring - Own the daily safeguarding monitoring processes and exception escalation routines - Review safeguarding calculations and reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance - Maintain and optimize the safeguarding framework. Enhance the control design to meet best industry practice. Financial & Regulatory Reporting - Prepare or support preparation of monthly financial reporting deliverables and ensure quality and timely submission - Monitor local entity’s periodic reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery, including circular 11/511, payment statistic, and other tax reporting. - Support annual statutory audit, including statutory part and regulatory audit regarding client fund safeguarding. - Contribute to the evolution of reporting tools or automation. Reconciliation Operations - Review reconciliation for assigned channels or accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items - Work with shared service centers and group treasury teams to maintain reliability, transparency, and accountability - Monitor resolution of timing breaks, mismatches, or recurring items and support improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years experience in finance, treasury, audit or reconciliation roles—preferably within a financial institution, PSP or fintech. - Prior oversight or involvement in safeguarding/client asset processes preferred. - Auditor background or prior finance role in payment industry strongly preferred. - Hands-on experience supporting statutory audits and preparing reporting deliverables. - Solid working knowledge of financial statement concepts, reconciliations, safeguarding or client asset frameworks - Understanding of payment flows, settlement processes and cash movement controls Preferred Qualifications - CPA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification is highly desirable. - Ownership mindset and disciplined execution - Low ego collaborator; comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
