About Global Payment The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. The platform products team, in cooperation with solutions and various sub-domains, provide end-to-end payment capabilities for the business to support its rapid development. Meanwhile, through organizational orchestration, it undertakes the responsibility of distributing and operating business traffic and serves as a platform for integrating and outputting to business lines for finance businesses like BNPL. While supporting internal and external businesses, it also accumulates standardized payment product capabilities to pave the way for the diversified development of future businesses. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in from May 2025 onwards. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Responsibilities - Develop high-quality software design and architecture for platform products systems; - Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle; - Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code; - Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting; - Review and debug code; Perform validation and verification testing; - Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve our products; - Document development phases and monitor systems;
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate/Master in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline.Minimum Qualifications: - Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose programming languages - Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities; adaptable, proactive, and resourceful; - Quick learner with a proactive mindset, creative problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of ownership; - Collaborative team player, thriving in dynamic, culturally diverse, and globally distributed environments. Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant internship experience with hands-on exposure to the tech stack - Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $28- $45.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
