Job Description
The Hybrid Label & A+R Manager plays a key commercial role within Believe’s US Label & Artist Solutions team. This position combines portfolio ownership with proactive business development, driving revenue growth across a defined segment of emerging and mid-tier labels and artists.
The role is responsible for managing and expanding an assigned roster while independently sourcing and closing new partnerships within approved commercial frameworks. It serves as a critical bridge between sales acquisition and long-term partner growth.
Portfolio Ownership & Growth
Own and grow a portfolio of label and artist partners, driving revenue expansion and retention
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across services, marketing solutions, and catalog transitions
Deliver structured business reviews and actionable performance insights
Maintain strong partner satisfaction and long-term retention
Business Development & Deal Execution
Prospect, qualify, and pursue new label and artist opportunities within defined market segments
Lead sales conversations and independently close mid-tier opportunities within approved pricing parameters
Support larger or more complex negotiations in collaboration with the Head of Sales
Structure deals aligned with margin, ROI, and classification guidelines
Commercial & Market Intelligence
Use streaming data and competitive insights to target priority genres and regions
Monitor market shifts and provide feedback to refine US acquisition strategy
Represent Believe at relevant industry events and conferences
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Central HQ in Paris, Marketing, Editorial, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless onboarding and growth execution
Act as the internal advocate for assigned partners
Qualifications
5 - 7 years of experience in music distribution, label services, A&R, or music tech platforms
Demonstrated success managing label or artist relationships tied to revenue growth
Experience closing commercial partnerships or renewal negotiations
Strong understanding of streaming economics, DSP ecosystems, and digital supply chains
Comfortable working with financial models, advances, and ROI assessments
Data-driven and commercially disciplined
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset within structured global frameworks
Experience using third party CRMs (Salesforce preferred)

Additional Information
Salary: $90,000-100,000
Where you'll be
This role will be based out of our Brooklyn, NY or Nashville, TN office. Believe operates on a hybrid model giving our teams flexibility and choice in how they work. Employees have the option to work from our office 8 days per month on a flexible schedule organized at the department level.
