Job Description

As the Artist Relation Manager/ A&R in Serbia for Believe you will define and implement the sourcing and acquisitions strategy for artist and labels. Utilizing your network and artist relations, you will be able to source and identify artists & labels who would benefit from joining our division. Carrying out first discussions with potential clients and their management, you will be able to identify their needs and share the perfect offer with local heads of distribution and Head of A&R. You will participate in the contract negotiation with the local team.
In addition, you will be responsible for the day to day management of our artists and labels, delivering high-level strategic support and advice, working within the cross-regional team and organization, reporting directly to Label Senior Leader.


Responsibilities:


1. Identify key artists and labels in the Balkans as potential signings:

  • Contribute to company growth by sourcing label & artist leads for the regional roster
  • Monitor Believe analytics and public tool analytics for talent detection.
  • Carrying out first discussions with the artists and their management to pitch our services and follow up through to deal negotiations.

2. Qualify artist & labels potential, tailor offer to services expectations:

  • Assess artists & labels potential, estimate deal value, and collect information to manage the sales pipeline.
  • Present opportunities to your local & central team and coordinate with Head of A&R to validate deal offers.
  • Carry out meetings with prospective clients to pitch our services and follow up through negotiations until signing, working with the local team.

3. Identify Market Trends and market dynamics and report to management
4. Label & Artist account management; Qualify Artists services expectations, career projects and release plans:

  • Manage the portfolio of your signed artists and labels with a focus on global campaign strategies.
  • Support artists and labels in custom-made release strategies, coordinate the project with Editorial Promotion departments.
  • Carry the strategy for artist new releases and back catalogue across all platforms increasing visibility, fan engagement, content streaming and sales

5. Deliver end-to-end client support across digital services (distribution, legal, royalties, streaming, rights coordination), fully aligned with Believe's strategy

Qualifications

  • Ability to be both creative and data driven.
  • Proactive attitude to work to deadlines, meet targets and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extremely digital savvy and quick to adopt trends.
  • Strong relationship building skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Available to work some evenings and to travel internationally as may be required.
  • 2 to 3 years of proven track record in the recorded music industry and experience in negotiation.
  • A solid network in the music industry
