Job Description

Front End Engineer - Help Musicians Thrive Through Beautiful Interfaces
We're a music publisher on a mission to empower musicians and creators. We believe technology should serve artistry, not complicate it. We're looking for a Front-End Engineer who shares our passion for music and wants to craft interfaces that make a real difference to artists' lives.

About You
You're a passionate Front-End Engineer who cares as much about the people using your interfaces as the code behind them. You've been developing your CSS and React skills and are excited to grow them further while creating beautiful, accessible web experiences. You believe in building responsive, performant interfaces that just work - so musicians can focus on what they do best: creating music.

Essential Experience

  • Solid React fundamentals (components, hooks, state management)

  • Strong CSS skills with experience in modern approaches (Tailwind, SASS, or similar)

  • Good working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and ES6+ features

  • Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development

  • Interest in accessibility and creating inclusive user experiences

  • Enthusiasm for learning performance optimisation techniques

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams

  • Bonus points for experience with Full Stack or Back End technology and practices

What Sets You Apart

  • You're driven by empathy for end users

  • You're eager to learn best practices and grow your skills through mentorship

  • You balance attention to detail with getting things done

  • You love getting the chance to roll up your sleeves and contribute beyond just the Front End when needed

  • You're excited about working in a diverse, inclusive environment to serve music and the creative industries

Join us in building the user experiences that help musicians succeed. Together, we'll create interfaces that are as beautiful and inspiring as the music they support.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and celebrate the diversity that makes great teams. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role, either now or in the future. However, candidates with existing visas that grant the right to work in the UK without the need for employer sponsorship (e.g. spousal visa, settled status) are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

We're Looking for Someone With

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong foundation in programming fundamentals and data engineering
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and solving problems
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Some experience with web development and cloud technologies (through coursework, internships, or personal projects)
  • Genuine interest in creating positive change in the music industry

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with C#, TypeScript, SQL, or similar languages
  • Any exposure to the music publishing industry or similar creative sectors

Additional Information

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive graduate development program with structured learning paths
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers who are passionate about sharing knowledge
  • The opportunity to make a real difference in the music industry from day one
  • Competitive graduate salary with regular progression reviews
  • A supportive, inclusive environment that celebrates diversity
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements
  • Clear career progression opportunities
  • Fun team culture with regular social events

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK (please note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
  • Ability to work on-site at our Liverpool office 3 days a week (hybrid role)

Join us in shaping the future of fair music while building your engineering career. Apply now! RECRUITERS: We have nothing but respect for your role in the industry but we are currently unable to engage your services.
