Job Description

As a product owner, you will be part of Finance Customer Reporting (FCR) product team under Artist Services (AS) business line.

FCR AS team caters to the financial and reporting needs of our Artist Services clients (Global Top Independent Artists at Believe) using our in-house royalties software. This position plays a key role in meeting the reporting standards and deadlines to our Artists Services clients.

Main Objectives:

  1. Liaise and coordinate with Developers for achieving sprint goals

  1. Testing feature(s) to ensure timely delivery of product developments from tech teams

  1. Prioritize and manage product backlog

  1. Support Operations’ team monthly ingestion efforts for a smooth reporting at the end of every month

Key Missions:

Sprint Rituals – Development work

  • Daily meetings: Provide necessary clarification to the Dev teams to advance on the tech developments identified in the sprint

  • Backlog Management: Maintain/create tickets for at least 2 sprint backlog in the pipeline in-line with priorities identified with the PM

  • Sprint Planning and retro: Contribute to planning the upcoming sprints in the sprint planning event and highlight any issues faced and recommend improvements

  • Writing User Stories: Ensure completion of user stories for Epics identified, to build a strong backlog

  • Sprint Grooming: Presenting the User stories to the Dev team, clarifying accompanying questions and grooming the stories to be incorporated in the upcoming sprints

  • Testing : Support QA for testing of tickets and running Non-reg and smoke tests when needed

Support to Operations team: (Run Management)

  • Monthly Ingestion Support: Provide timely support to the Ops team in easing out the hurdles/errors surfaced by ensuring smooth end of month reporting

  • Bug Bashing: Ensure the bugs surfaced during Ops ingestion are tracked via Bug tickets for analysis and long-term solution and taking it up with the Dev team for necessary resolution of the errors encountered.

Qualifications

  • Product Owner with 3-6 years of experience handling digital products, ideally in an international environment
  • Experience in Music Industry with an exposure to Royalties Payouts and Music Contracts

  • Fluent in English and French.

Personal Qualities: A team player who is very organized and able to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
