Job Description

Attached to the VP platform engineering, we are looking for our Head of platform operational excellence to join our platform team! As the Head of platform operational excellence, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all initiatives aimed at improving the operational efficiency and quality of the IT department. You will be tasked with developing and implementing strategies and processes to optimize IT operations, reduce costs, enhance service quality, and bolster internal and external customer satisfaction through a product approach of our platform services!

Missions :

Strategic purpose :

  • Build and deploy a Platform as a product vision, including strategy, governance, and processes

  • Define and drive a long-term strategy for operational excellence including quality by design, in development lifecycle and in production environment

  • Build and follow up the platform roadmap and work closely with tech, business and product teams to align visions, goals and needs

  • Manage teams of QA engineers and service delivery managers to measure and improve the quality of the products delivered internally and to our clients and users.

  • Propose organization and staffing plan to achieve platform roadmap and ambitions.

Operational Deployment

  • Operational excellence

  • Building and deploying a roadmap derived from the QA orientation strategy and production activity, with monitoring of implementation and related KPIs and SLAs

  • Cultivating a production and quality culture, disseminating best practices to teams and structuring production and quality activities with key performance indicators (KPIs) based on results, root cause analysis, defect prevention techniques, test standards, and reports.

  • Deploying and improve methods, tools, and standardized procedures to effectively respond to, analyze, document, manage, and track production incidents and issues including visibility and communication of incidents to management and different departments within the company.

  • Improving user perception of information systems with a methodical and professional approach to communication and quick resolution of incidents when they occur by measuring user satisfaction.

  • Implementing automation strategies across various development and production environments.

  • Platform as a product :

  • Define strategic ambitions and vision for the future of the platform as a product approach.

  • Build and prioritize platform roadmap based on a roadmap depending on personae.

  • Manage prioritization, alerts and risks on the roadmap

  • Measure efficiency, usage and quality of the services

  • Deploy a self-service catalog for platform services

  • Implement continuous feedback and improvement mindset to enhance platform value

  • Manage product lifecycle of the platform services

Qualifications

You have a successful experience in the engineering professions that allows you to collaborate naturally with the management, product, development, infrastructure and architecture teams.

You have a successful experience of at least 2 years in managing a technical team of 10 people or more in the field of production management and quality assurance in high-availability environments.

You demonstrate strong leadership and are able to make decisions in an dynamic and changing organization.

You have optimized organizations in agile and fast-growing environments.

Knowledge of Agile and product methodologies appreciated Ability to work collaboratively and non-hierarchically.

Ability to work in English
