About the role:

The Director, People Partners will be responsible for building our HRBP function at Aviatrix. You will be at the intersection of the business and the People Team and will influence how this role supports and delivers value to Aviatrix. In partnership with the broader People Team, this role will be responsible for designing and executing talent strategies that attract, retain and motivate top talent at Aviatrix – from talent attraction, to onboarding new Aviators, to helping managers make great people decisions you will ensure we deliver on our goal of an unparalleled employee experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of People Partners (HRBPs) who serve as advisors to leadership on organizational and talent strategies that supports Aviatrix’s overall business strategy
  • Work closely with designated business leaders as an expert on human resources (such as talent planning, leadership team effectiveness, organizational effectiveness and design) and as a coach and influencer of culture
  • Build trust and credibility with our business leaders to coach and develop organizational leadership and management excellence, and hold leaders accountable to people outcomes
  • Partner with business leaders to drive organizational change, ensuring that transitions are smooth and that employees are engaged and supported throughout the process
  • Plan and execute talent initiatives, such as management development, organizational effectiveness, talent management and learning
  • Identify and surface opportunities to advance the cross-functional effectiveness of our teams and work with leaders to develop initiatives and programs to improve effectiveness
  • Support a remote-first, global workforce of managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle, including navigating employment relations issues
  • Collaborate with People Operations to develop and deploy company-wide people-oriented programs including promotions, onboarding, performance management, and rewards & recognition programs
  • Help interpret people analytics data and internal trends for each function that is supported to inform business strategy and proactively identify issues
  • Coach managers and leaders on how they can be effective communicators, leaders, and mentors and make great people decisions every day
  • Provide vision and oversight of project plans, influence stakeholders, and identify and respond to emerging requirements
  • Oversee and drive projects, programs, and initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or organizational development, PHR, SPHR or MSHR
  • 12+ years of HR Business Partner or related business experience and multi-discipline experiences within HR
  • Prior experience managing other HRBPs across a variety of functional areas
  • History of working within global, technical organizations as a consultative People leader who understands business priorities and translates them into talent strategies that support the business as it grows
  • Experience working across countries with diverse cultures and employment practices
  • Ability to manage competing priorities successfully by taking initiative and showing a bias for action to drive projects to completion in a timely and accurate manner
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal that are proven to be effective in a global, remote work environment
  • Exceptional listening skills, an approachable demeanor that allows you to relate, influence and coach employees at all levels
  • Flexibility, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels and situations

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $246,000 – $285,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
