About the Role

The CoPilot product leverages the intelligence and advanced network and security services delivered by Aviatrix’s multi-cloud network platform to provide enterprises with a single control console to observe, manage and analyze their multi-cloud environment.
We're searching for a Staff UI Engineer to join the Aviatrix CoPilot product development team. In this role, you will work on a small talented engineering team with an opportunity to develop quality code in a nimble, innovative, and collaborative team environment. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the experience of every Aviatrix enterprise customer.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan out new projects, reviewing PRDs and designs, uncovering unknowns, and estimate delivery to ensure we start development with a clear picture of what we are building and how long it will take us to get there.
  • Contribute to tracking of team goals, writing and tracking OKRs.
  • Strive to improve our product security, quality, ease of operations, reliability and performance by highlighting key projects and ensuring we find the time to work on them.
  • Champion and demonstrate engineering best practices as a mentor within the team.
  • Work collaboratively to develop high-quality software with a focus on frontend development and supporting services.
  • Write efficient, well-tested and scalable code in technologies including TypeScript, React and Node.
  • Write and present clear documentation to communicate technical decisions.
  • As part of our on call rotation, monitor and improve continuous integration and testing workflows to ensure the run smoothly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company including UX designers and product engineers to build best-in-class interfaces for all Aviatrix products.
  • Monitor and remediate field issues working regularly with support and other customer facing teams.
  • Continually strive for improvement, eager to learn new technologies and concepts to meet project requirements.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of full stack development experience in enterprise software with an emphasis on building customer facing user interfaces.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and experience in popular frameworks (ie. React, AngularJS).
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Experience working closely with UX Designers on large projects.
  • Experience working with in-house design systems and/or MUI.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent communication skills and eagerness to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • A passion for problem-solving, an eye for detail, and a keen interest in learning and improving.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in cloud networking.
  • Experience in any of the following: Elasticsearch, GRPC, gRPC-web, Go.

US Pay Range

The US annual base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$225,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
