SUMMARY
Avetta is looking for an awesome HR Generalist to join our Global People Ops Team. The ideal candidate is someone with an outgoing personality, who is dynamic, fun, and ready to get things done. The HR Generalist will provide human resources (HR) support relating to new hire onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HR operations. The HR Generalist will focus on applying HR policies and guidelines, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations, educating newly hired employees on HR policies and procedures, as well as counselling employees and managers on work-related issues.
This role requires a hybrid schedule in our Lehi, UT office (3 days in office, 2 days work from home).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Serve as a primary HR point of contact for assigned employee populations, establishing an accessible and trusted HR presence.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, benefits, performance management, and workplace concerns.
- Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies and alignment with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain awareness of applicable employment regulations and support ongoing compliance initiatives.
Onboarding & Core HR Operations
- Own end-to-end onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring timely communication, documentation, orientation, and HR support.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, IT, Payroll, and People Managers to coordinate new hire setup and transitions.
- Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and support audits, updates, reporting, and lifecycle changes.
- Provide backup support for regional onboarding, offboarding, and employee transactions to ensure continuity of HR services.
HR Systems, Automation & AI‑Enabled Process Improvement
- Leverage AI-enabled tools, automations, and emerging technologies to streamline HR workflows, reduce manual work, and improve employee and manager self-service.
- Identify repetitive or high-volume HR tasks (e.g., onboarding coordination, system data entry, HR inbox inquiries) and collaborate with HR leadership to redesign processes using automation, AI copilots, or agent-based solutions.
- Support the implementation and ongoing optimization of AI-driven solutions such as HR chatbots, workflow agents, and knowledge assistants across platforms.
- Act as a functional partner in testing, training, and adoption of AI tools (e.g., Copilot-style assistants) used in HR operations, employee relations support, and manager self-service.
- Contribute to documenting workflows, decision logic, and knowledge bases necessary to scale AI-enabled HR support effectively.
- Maintain a strong understanding of data accuracy, data privacy, and responsible use of AI in HR environments; escalate risks or limitations as appropriate.
Employee Relations, Performance & Discipline
- Provide guidance to managers on performance management, coaching, and corrective actions in alignment with company policy and employment law.
- Assist with documenting, tracking, and resolving employee relations issues, escalating complex matters when necessary.
- Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding processes, including documentation and coordination with Payroll and Benefits teams.
Policy, Documentation & Compliance
- Assist with maintaining and updating HR policies, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Support HR recordkeeping, employee file audits, and preparation for internal or external compliance reviews.
- Help manage the HR inbox by triaging, responding to, and routing inquiries in a timely and organized manner.
Cross‑Regional (North America) HR Support
- Cross-train with other HR Operations team members to ensure redundancy, shared knowledge, and consistent service delivery.
- Provide backup support for onboarding, employee changes, documentation processing, and HRIS updates across the North America region.
- Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and system enhancements impacting multi-region operations.
Culture, Engagement & Workplace Support

- Support global and local employee engagement initiatives, including company events and volunteering activities.
- Assist with HR-related communications, swag coordination, and cultural programs that promote inclusion and employee experience.
- Provide occasional support related to office operations or facilities coordination as needed.
- Reporting and other projects, as needed.
- Regular and predictive attendance.
IDEAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through.
- High level of confidentiality and personal integrity.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously, with little supervision.
- Follow tasks through to successful completion.
- Ability to build productive professional relationships with internal and external partners to resolve any issues or problems.
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope, both varied and routine, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
