This role offers a hybrid schedule in our Auckland office (3 days on site, 2 days work from home).

SUMMARY

To ensure currency of compliance training and work type competencies (WTCs) for asset owners and contractor’s employees, including the ongoing liaison with key stakeholders across New Zealand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is responsible for the administration of iskills competency management systems, updating of competency records and managing employees to ensure currency against Work Type Competencies (WTCs).

  • Interpret and understand client competency and NZQA standards for trainees to meet work requirements.
  • Accurate identification of gaps in worker competency.
  • Development, implementation and tracking of employee and sub-contractor training and assessment plans.
  • Timely response to all client requests for competency information.
  • Meticulous data entry of trainee records into Learning Management Systems and Competency Databases.
  • Produce accurate reporting on workforce competency.
  • Systematically manage the refresher cycle plans for workers and ensure training is always organized before compliance refreshers expire.
  • Respond to all client enquiries for training by investigating best fit cost-effective training solutions. This includes sourcing information from various providers.
  • Compile and submit competency applications to network asset owners and clients as required, ensuring competency of all employees is maintained.
  • Ensure timely updates are made to all records to capture new employees and terminated workers.
  • Reconcile course attendance and provide solutions and reporting on any variance to planned activities.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives / actions – CII
  • Other functions in relation to competency management as determined by business requirements.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE (optional):

  • Business administration qualification or a minimum 4 years' experience
