This role offers a hybrid schedule in our Sydney, Newcastle, or Auckland office (3 days on site, 2 days work from home).

SUMMARY

The eLearning Manager oversees the development and implementation of quality online learning programs for clients that use our Worker competency solutions. They will lead and are responsible for the performance of the eLearning team, ensuring projects are on time and delivered to a high standard. The role requires collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to grow engagement with eLearning services. Job pricing, budgeting, planning and revenue forecasting are critical deliverables in the role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to scope training needs, whether this is a bespoke elearn for a client, or a generic course that can be made available to multiple clients.
  • Engage with and promote eLearn services to Avetta’s client facing teams.
  • Carry out all marketing and business development activities required to promote eLearn services.
  • Oversee the prioritization of eLearning projects and managing the interdependencies between multiple projects, the assigning of resources, resolving project resource availability issues and removing roadblocks as they occur.
  • Lead, manage and grow a team of eLearning developers and assistants ensuring resource levels and capability meet the requirements of the business.
  • Promote a sense of purpose within the team, enabling others to understand the strategic direction, translating broad goals into operational ones and explain the links for the team.
  • Carry out all aspects of revenue management including budgeting, pricing, forecasting and invoicing of eLearn services.
  • Monitor profitability of projects and manage costs within the elearn business.
  • Oversee eLearning projects and their implementation within the framework of the Avetta configuration management processes.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of strategic initiatives and their associated action plans to ensure the growth of the team.
  • Establish cross-cultural working relationships, and work in various time zones from time to time.
  • Review industry trends ensure Avetta is seen as a leader within the eLearning space and be the subject matter expert for the business in this space.
  • Work to continuously improve eLearning systems and processes to create efficiencies and improve services.
  • Carry out client surveys and obtain other stakeholder feedback to measure client satisfaction with the output and impact from eLearning.
  • Engage and evaluate third-party vendors appropriate to eLearning.
  • Adheres to all relevant Avetta HR policies, systems, values and goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in the areas of instructional design, learning delivery and learning technology.
  • 5+ years of proven expertise in executing successful corporate learning programs and managing teams.
  • Experience in leading and managing agile learning projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate, analyze, and interpret information.
  • Strategic thinker: ability to overcome obstacles; takes an organized and logical approach to thinking through problems and complex issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

METRICS THAT MATTER:

  • Developing and achieving objectives in the annual business plan.
  • Accurate forecasting and driving revenue growth as budgeted.
  • Use feedback to drive service continuous improvement i.e. client surveys, eLearn user data and compliance stats etc.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of eLearning concepts and tools, and instructional design.
  • Hands-on experience with authoring technologies and internet design tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders of all levels to identify sales opportunities.
