The Team :

We are looking for a Engineering Manager to join our Tech Department !

Main responsibilities :

  • Lead a small group (4-7 people) of exceptionally skilled engineers

  • Supervise day-to-day technical tasks

  • Ensure they have the right resources, tools and skills to succeed in their role

  • Motivate and empower the teams to enhance engagement and performance

  • Define team and individual goals in line with Ankorstore's objectives, plan and monitor their achievements and ensure the performance of the team, help individual career progressions

  • Anticipate, organise and monitor the activities of the team, allocate the right resources for the right objectives

  • In collaboration with the People Team and your Manager, anticipate and plan your team evolution, participate to the definition of the needs and requirements, and actively contribute to the hiring process

  • Ensure a strong onboarding for new joiners and ongoing training and shadowing

  • Ensure your team is providing support for the code they put into production

  • Act as a role model, share best practices and encourage peers and team members to strive

  • Use an individualised approach to identify development potential, performance challenges and put in place action plans to help the team grow professionally and personally

  • Provide continuous and constructive feedback

  • Partner closely with your Design and Product counterparts to shape the vision for your team and create the both long and short term technology roadmap for your team, align this with the overall company strategy as well as with the priorities from business

Ankorstore tech stack :

  • Front-end: Vue.js, Typescript, Vuex, sass, webpack

  • Back-end: PHP 8.3, Laravel 10, Golang

  • Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis

  • Tools: Github, CircleCI, New Relic, Sqreen, Sentry, Notion

Requirements :

  • At least 5+ years of experience on a agile software development team, preferably in a lead or senior role for at least 2+ years

  • 4+ years experience in an object-oriented programming language such as PHP, Java or current service-oriented programming language, such as Golang

  • Ability to solve complex problems in simple ways

  • Ability to manage multiple relationships at a time and work in a high pace environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Process driven and structured
