Department Description

The Fiduciary Sector team serves institutions that manage money or assets on behalf of others, with a legal and ethical duty to act in their clients' best interests. These include pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, and trusts. These entities rely on the bank for services such as custodianship, fund administration, investment execution, and risk management, while upholding fiduciary responsibilities to their end beneficiaries.

Role Description

The Pensions and Trust Associate Manager role is a supporting role to the Pensions RM to assist growing Allica Bank’s presence across the UK fiduciary market. Working with the Pensions Relationship Manager to support the building of new relationships and nurturing of existing ones with professional pension trustees, administrators, and practitioners.

A pensions subject matter expert they will take ownership working in tandem will Allica’s Operations Team for the due diligence, onboarding and day to day management of the pension provider relationships.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Working with the Pensions Relationship Manager to support the building of new relationships and nurturing of existing ones with professional pension trustees, administrators, and Trusts.

  • Working closely with the Relationship and Product team play a key role in understanding the need of clients, supporting the onboarding, due diligence and day to day management of the relationship.

  • Building relationships and creating opportunities through solicitors, independent financial advisors and through working closely with the Allica Partnerships Team accountants also.

  • Through detailed knowledge and understanding of all types of Trusts and their onboarding requirements from an AML/KYC perspective to act as the central point of contact and a subject matter expert for internal Allica stakeholders.

  • Acting as feedback focal point for clients, ensuring that feedback can be captured, learnt from, actioned and shared with product and marketing teams in support of informing feature development and new initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding as to how the Office of the Public Gurdian (OPG) works in relation to deputies, attorney and guardians in the context of banking requirements and provision of current account solutions.

  • Providing broad commercial support to the Pensions Relationship Manager assisting with opportunity prospecting and customer acquisition tactics.

  • Proactive ownership and accountability for maintaining the CRM, supporting the creation of MI and ongoing reporting.

  • Organising membership and supporting relationships with affiliations and associates such as SIFA & STEP, representing Allica at network events, expos and conferences.

  • Actively managing your own objectives and personal development plan, supporting the Pensions Manager with the delivery of the team goals and ambitions.

  • Working closely and collaboratively with varying teams across Allica Bank to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided.

Personal Attributes and Experience

  • A deep passion for supporting and helping established SMEs to grow and achieve their ambitions.

  • A self-starter, problem solver and strategic thinker, organised and able to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.

  • A skilled stakeholder relationship builder, with a history of working across multiple teams and on several initiatives at any given time.

  • You will have strong commercial skills and acumen, with experience in building and delivering on low intent sales strategies.

  • Comfortable with data, with the ability to understand, analyse and make decisions from data sets, reporting and MI.

  • Excellent CRM processes and experience with HubSpot

  • You can demonstrate a strong understanding of SME banking, customer journeys and jobs to be done.

  • The ability to deliver against challenging personal goals whilst also supporting a team to do the same.
