Department Description

Operations is the heart of Allica Bank. It’s a very fast-moving environment where no two days are the same and where roles evolve and grow week by week.

Role Description

We are looking for a motivated people person, with a keen eye of detail. Working in a Payments team is a fast-moving role, and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable in a busy environment where they can make a difference to a team throughout the day, grow and learn within the team.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To key inbound and outbound payments for the bank this includes- Customer Payments, Invoice payments, Refunds, etc.
  • You’ll be responsible for making payments, dealing with payment queries. Engaging with Customer Support, Credit Operations, Asset Finance or Relationship Managers.
  • To proactively identify areas for process improvement and to seek new and innovative ways to better serve way of working.
  • Work amongst the Payment Operations team to deliver a seamless service for both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure Annual Mandatory Training and all other required training is scheduled and met personally and across the team.

Personal Attributes & Experience

  • Previous experience in Payments (inbound and outbound payments).
  • Experience of core processes (e.g., payments processing, complaints, reconciliation, Direct debit management, general payment queries).
  • Experience in working with workflow / task management tools.
  • Knowledge of financial services rules and guidelines.
  • Excellent oral and written skills as they will be constantly communicating with team and the wider business.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment – with a constant focus on delivery.
  • Enthusiastic and articulate, whilst being motivated by a need to help people.
  • Organisational and good time management skills.
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy.
  • Conform to our ethical standards and conduct.
  • Adhere to quality control requirements and ensure compliance with policy.
