Job Description:

As a Junior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of our company’s IT systems and applications. You will work closely with our development team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT solutions that meet our business needs. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, system integration, and IT project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development:

Assist in designing, coding, and testing software applications based on business requirements.

Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and enhancements.

Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing systems and propose solutions.

System Integration:

Participate in integrating various IT systems and applications to ensure seamless functionality.

Develop APIs and scripts to automate processes and improve system efficiency.

Database Management:

Support database administration tasks, including data migration, backup, and recovery.

Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.

Project Support:

Contribute to IT projects by providing technical expertise and assisting in project planning and execution.

Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create technical documentation for software applications, APIs, and system configurations.

Generate reports on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.

Quality Assurance:

Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

Ensure that software solutions meet quality standards and functional requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in software development or IT project management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
