Role Description

Data is a key asset to Allica and is deeply embedded in all our teams and products. With data, we assist and work with Finance, Operations, Credit Risk, Product and management. This role will be the lead for the Digital Operations and Digital Channels tribe.

We are looking for ambitious and curious people who can help us understand our data better, contribute to facilitating the discussions between engineering and the data stakeholders and have an impact on the business by telling stories around the insights they generate.

You will be an integral part of the digital operations and digital servicing tribe and the initial focus will be building out strong foundations for our data models, reporting and dashboards. Then moving onto building and developing the analytics and insights capabilities of the Bank.

Principal Accountabilities

• Understand our products and processes through the data we have or collect for Digital Operation and Digital Channels. This will include defining the data requirements for new features and improvements to the data captured in the services.
• Defining the requirements for the data model in the datawarehouse for analytics consumption. This will also include validation of new data fields/tables added to the data warehouse.
• Support the tribe/area to leverage your knowledge of that data to build reporting that will improve their KPI’s and provide insights to the business strategy
• Build dashboards and reports (Metabase) which have been robustly validated and are accurate.
• Work with the tribe/area to understand their data needs and deliver their data requests.
• Develop and maintain data standards, always managing the data libraries and dictionaries, documenting your findings and sharing them both within and outside the data team.
• Drive & implement a data-driven mindset in the company.
• Manage the data analysts in the Digital Servicing & Digital Channels tribe. Provide technical guidance and business knowledge, mentoring to other members in the team.
• Work closely with the tribe leader and product owners as the lead data analyst to support and input into the tribe road map.

Personal Attributes & Experience

• Previous experience leading a team of analysts using SQL in a start-up or fast-paced organization.
• Strong and experienced level of analytical skills in a commercial environment ideally within banking or other financial services.
• You have a proven track record of data extraction and manipulation with SQL and building dashboards.
• Experience validating data after new features or products are deployed at source.
• You are flexible to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a very dynamic environment and work well with stakeholders across the business.
• You communicate effectively and are comfortable with translating technical detail into business and commercial language.
• Personable and able to communicate at all levels within the business.
