Department Description

Operations in banking like in every other firm is established to carry out all day-to-day transactions of the business. The Operations function within Allica has wide – ranging responsibilities supporting the customers of all product lines (Commercial Mortgages, Asset Finance, Deposits and Payment Accounts with aligned card activity), alongside our own internal stakeholder. We are particularly focused on the following, ensuring that the bank always adheres to all relevant Regulatory requirements and our internal policies:

  • Slick digital account opening, and in life servicing.
  • Customer contact via telephony, email and in-app communications.
  • Payment and reconciliation activity.
  • Treasury operations.
  • Customer due diligence through Know Your Customer, Know Your Business.
  • Lending pipeline management.
  • Quality assurance and control.
  • Issue resolution.
  • Effective record keeping and data management.
  • Support of all change initiatives

Role Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our training function, which is based within our Operational Assurance Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our staff’s capabilities and ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

Deliver Training:

  • Provide tailored training to internal staff, both individually and in group settings.
  • Support the creation of a structured learning program or training syllabus catalogue.
  • Equip staff with the skills needed to maximize the use of our systems and procedures.

Work closely with the Training and Development Lead to:

  • Develop comprehensive training materials.
  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions.
  • Support the implementation of a dynamic training curriculum.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for further training and skill enhancement.
  • Help integrate changes through relevant training
  • Ensure that training content reflects the latest industry trends and best practices.

Content Maintenance and Governance:

  • Maintain high-quality training content through content updates.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate governance standards.

Principal Accountabilities

Training Delivery:

  • Deliver comprehensive training to all new starters across Operations.
  • Combine coaching sessions with practical skill development.
  • Facilitate hands-on training across all teams within Operations.

Develop and Maintain Training Records:

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and proper cataloguing in alignment with established procedures and requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary training governance is carried out.

Change Management Training:

  • Collaborate with change management teams to develop and deliver effective training.
  • Ensure seamless transitions during organizational changes.

Training Material Development:

  • Create training materials covering all aspects of operations.
  • Support new starters in mastering our systems and processes.
