What's the opportunity?

Allica is a business that is undergoing rapid growth and transition—Having already launched a range of successful SME banking products, we’re now focusing on extending and enhancing our digital capabilities and user experience. That’s where you come in. We are looking for a world class Product Designer to join us and help to take Allica to the next level.

In your role as a Senior Product Designer within our Lending Servicing squads, you will focus on creating highly efficient design solutions for our internal credit risk management and operations software. Your responsibilities will include leading design efforts to deliver best in class solutions for managing alerts and user tasks, payment plans, direct debits, forbearance and security. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing Allica's design system within your product area, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience across the platform. You’ll define, develop and deliver elegant user experiences and your design work will be instrumental in shaping our industry leading fintech products. By engaging in customer research and data analysis, you will develop a strong empathy for our users and envision how they will experience our products. You’ll work alongside other designers, product managers and developers during the design process - from creating user flows and wireframes to developing and testing interactive prototypes, through to crafting beautiful UI and assisting in developing Allica’s design system.

• You’ll have the opportunity to shape our products alongside other industry experts
• You’ll own every aspect of your product's design, from undertaking preliminary research, solving the core user challenge to shipping a well-tested and pixel-perfect UI
• You’ll support our Head of Product Design to shape our newly established design function, helping to define consistent ways of working across multiple product teams and educate others on design best practices
• You’ll help drive a cultural shift towards taking a user-centric, data-inspired approach to solving problems – Design is at the center of our success and will help drive the business forward
• You’ll help deliver Allica’s design language system to fundamentally improve the speed of development, usability, and quality for all Allica products
• You'll be working alongside top caliber people from a range of disciplines, in an exciting and forward-thinking environment

What will you be doing?

• Mapping and improving complex processes and systems in an elegant and understandable way
• Conducting and/or facilitating ongoing market research, competitive analysis and benchmarking, user research and product discovery activities
• Using data to measure the success of design output and to drive the continuous improvement of products • Usability testing and improving designs based on feedback
• Conceiving, sketching, and rapid prototyping of product ideas
• Designing and delivering wireframes, user journeys and mock-ups, in a range of fidelities, for a variety of devices and interfaces
• Working directly with engineers, product managers, marketers, and other stakeholders across the business
• Working across multiple squads in a lead or support capacity
• Supporting the evolution of the design language system
