About this role:The Security DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, building, and maintenance of the core infrastructure underpinning our cloud platform, with a strong focus on security automation and integration throughout the development lifecycle. This role involves tackling challenging, large-scale infrastructure and security projects, with a focus on ensuring organizational reliability, scalability, security-by-design, and adherence to best practices and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:- Own DevSecOps projects end-to-end, from research and design to implementation and rollout.
- Lead Infrastructure improvements around high availability, resiliency, performance and cost efficiency.
- Integrate security tools and processes (SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA) into the CI/CD pipelines (Shift Left).
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure (AWS) and Kubernetes.
- Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation efforts.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies that upgrade our infra and security posture.
- Collaborate with other engineers to define standards, patterns, and platform roadmap, advocating for security best practices.
- Serve as a technical expert in infrastructure and cloud security decisions and a driver of engineering excellence.
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps/DevSecOps in large-scale infrastructure companies.
- Passion for elegant and effective technological solutions.
- Independent learning capability and curiosity without boundaries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects independently.
- Technical requirements:
- Advanced experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong proficiency with IaC Frameworks such as Terraform and Terragrunt, CDK
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS services, including native security services (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, with a focus on network security.
- Proven experience implementing security scanning and testing tools in CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with secrets management solutions (e.g., Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
