What you’ll do & Who you are
We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and proactive M&A Associate to join our Global M&A team, with a specific focus on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. This individual will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end deal lifecycle—from pipeline coordination through diligence and post-close integration.
This position offers a significant opportunity to collaborate closely with management teams across all of Adevinta’s global businesses. You will gain exposure to strategic decision making at the highest levels of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional looking to join a highly active and impactful deal team.

What You'll Do:
Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Management
Market Scanning: Proactively research industry trends, competitor moves, and emerging technologies to identify "buy vs. build" opportunities.
Strategic Thesis: Develop investment memos outlining deal rationale for potential acquisitions.
Valuation & Financial Modeling
Valuation Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models, proficient with valuation models such as DCF, public comparables, transaction comparables, LBO, and other valuation methodologies
Synergy Quantification: Partner with business unit leads to quantify cost and revenue synergies
Scenario Analysis: Stress-test deal assumptions based on different strategic drivers
Deal Execution & Due Diligence
Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional due diligence teams (Legal, Tax, HR, IT, Finance, etc.) and external advisors
Virtual Data Room (VDR): Lead the management of the data room, Q&A trackers, and document flow
Closing Support: Support senior team members in negotiating definitive agreements and related deal documentation, and preparing closing statements.
What You'll Need:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Corporate Development or M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting. Appropriate level will be determined based on experience.
Extensive modeling skills combined with a highly analytical mindset. You are proficient at building complex valuation and financial models that help stakeholders understand value exchange, risks, and tradeoffs.
Understanding of the end-to-end M&A process and transaction phases. You know and can anticipate what the next steps are.
Ability to challenge and debate respectfully. You are a critical thinker who uses data-driven insights to stress test assumptions.
Strong organizational and project management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Capital IQ and Google Suite. Familiarity with AI tools a plus.
Great relationship building skills. You are a collaborative team player with a track record of building trust quickly with peers and seniors, and are confident in bringing together stakeholders to work through a problem.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
Proactive and resourceful mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow in the M&A space.
Preferred:
Prior exposure to M&A deal flow in technology, with online marketplace and classifieds experience a big plus.
