What you’ll do ​& Who you are

Main Mission :

The Product Design Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing a team of product designers. You play a strategic role in defining and executing user experiences while guiding teams to deliver innovative, consistent, and user-centered solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Management and Leadership :

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of talented designers

  • Provide personalized mentorship to help designers grow professionally and reach their goals

  • Establish high standards of quality and ensure they are upheld across all projects

  • Foster a collaborative, motivating, and inclusive work environment

Strategy and Vision :

  • Define the product design vision and strategy in collaboration with leadership teams

  • Ensure that design initiatives align with business objectives and user needs

  • Drive the integration of user-centered design principles into the product development process

Coordination and Collaboration :

  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design supports product and business goals

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and resolve potential friction points between teams

  • Facilitate clear communication of design intent to internal and external stakeholders

Operational Excellence :

  • Oversee team deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with existing guidelines (Design System, UX principles)

  • Track projects to ensure timely delivery and achievement of objectives

  • Identify pain points in user journeys and propose pragmatic solutions

  • Prioritize design initiatives based on resources and strategic priorities

Continuous Improvement :

  • Implement processes to enhance team productivity, quality, and collaboration

  • Incorporate user feedback and data (qualitative and quantitative) to refine design decisions

  • Advocate for the importance of user-centered design across the organization

Skills and Requirements :

Technical :

  • Expertise in product design with a strong understanding of UX/UI processes

  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)

Leadership :

  • Proven experience managing and developing design teams

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strategic vision and ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Interpersonal :

  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Capacity to influence and advocate for design priorities among diverse stakeholders

  • Empathy to understand both user and team needs

  • You are fluent in French
