What you’ll do ​& Who you are

The Role


As Internal Communications Lead, you will be the strategic driver of how we inspire, inform, and engage our employees across all levels of the company. You will play a critical role in shaping our change journey, ensuring that every employee feels connected to our vision, strategy, and values.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role. Together with the Internal Comms Manager reporting into you you will design and execute a strategic internal communications agenda, manage flagship internal events. You will act as a trusted communications consultant to the leadership team, translating strategy into clear, timely and measurable employee communications that drive understanding, adoption and culture. You will work closely with the Chief of Staff and other senior executives to ensure alignment and clarity of message during a pivotal phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Change Communication & Storytelling: Lead the internal communications strategy and agenda during a period of significant transformation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and inspiration in how we communicate change.Set annual objectives, success metrics and an editorial calendar for company-wide and targeted communications.

  • Flagship Events: Own the design and execution of major company events including all-hands meetings, People Leader Days, and leadership offsites, ensuring they are engaging, professional, and aligned with our brand.

  • Employee Engagement: Develop communications that foster transparency, alignment, and pride across the organisation, making complex topics simple and inspiring.

  • Executive Communications: Partner closely with the Chief of Staff and CEO , shaping messaging and preparing materials for leadership updates, board-related cascades, and other key communications. Act as communications advisor to the leadership team and senior leaders: craft leadership messages, talking points, presentations and Q&A. Prepare leaders for public-facing internal forums (coaching, rehearsal, key message alignment).

  • Channels & Content: Together with the Internal Communications Manager manage and evolve internal communication channels (email, intranet, Slack, video updates, etc.) and ensure they are used effectively to drive engagement and alignment.

  • Culture Champion: Design campaigns to reinforce company values, employer brand, DEI and wellbeing initiatives.Promote and embed mobile.de’s cultural values through every message and channel, especially our RAPID principles.

    Accountability: Take full ownership for clarity and impact in every message.
    Prioritization: Focus on what drives alignment and value across the business.
    Integrity: Communicate with honesty, transparency, and trust.
    Decisiveness: Act quickly, cut through complexity, and help people move forward with confidence

  • Measure and act on employee feedback (pulse surveys, listening sessions) to continually improve comms.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in internal communications, change communications, or employee engagement, ideally in a fast-moving, digital or technology-driven company.

  • Strong track record in managing company-wide events and all-hands meetings at scale.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (German a strong plus).

  • Ability to translate complex business topics into clear, engaging, and inspiring communication.

  • Experience working closely with C-level leaders and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

  • A passion for culture, change, and bringing people along on a transformation journey.
